Features
What's in the app.
Everything below is in the current Android build. The list is kept in step with the release notes, so if it's here, it's on the phone.
It learns your voice before it judges a note.
- Voice setup — a short, guided session that finds your speaking pitch, your lowest and highest notes, your voice type and where your voice changes gear. It also records your own "ah", "ee" and "oo", so from then on your tone is judged against you, not an average singer.
- Voice map — "Find your bridge" — your range laid out on a keyboard, with your speaking pitch, the notes you're most comfortable on, and the bridge: the stretch where your voice switches from chest to head voice. A live figure shows where the sound is sitting in your body as you sing.
- Technique mode — sing a note and hold it. The app listens and gives you one physical thing to change — open the back of your mouth, lower your voice box, ease the breath. When you get it right the figure lights up. Tap "Remember it" and the app brings that feeling back in later lessons.
- Tone report and range growth — tracked since your first setup; clean notes sung beyond your range in a lesson count too.
- Six singing styles — classical, musical theatre, pop, rock, jazz, folk. Corrections and exercises follow the style you declare.
A live lane that tells you which way to move.
- Scrolling note lane — note bars scroll across the screen and your voice draws a smooth line through them, coloured by how close you are to the desired note (gold on pitch, silver near, rose off). On pitch, the line sits inside the bar and the bar glows gold.
- Guide piano — a real Yamaha G5 concert grand piano plays each note just before its bar and rings through it, every note of every round. Volume control at the top of the lesson.
- What it hears — pitch, steadiness, vibrato, onsets, breathiness, pressing, nasality, twang, fry, strain, belt and distortion, register and connected mix, the swell of held notes, and whether you sang the sound the bar asked for. Trained models judge breathy, pressed and belt against your own setup, on the phone.
- Chest-to-head glow and tone word — a small resonance body and a live word (clear, airy, tight, nasal, creaky) in the HUD.
- Corrections — up to four brass icon cards under the volume meter. A card flashes when that habit is heard again; tap it for the explanation, a drawing and "hear the difference". A technique fault is spoken only once it's clearly heard twice, as its body mechanic.
- Seven-rung explanation ladder — if a fault keeps coming back, the explanation changes: sound image, sensation, simplify, swap exercise, another school of teaching, the functional reason, a contrast drill.
- Combos and fire — hold each note in tune and the chain grows; from six in a row the next bar catches fire as your line enters it. A fully clean section earns a spoken "Nice" and a burst of flame. Encouragement at every tenth note, never for what isn't earned.
- Praise for the hard notes only — range edges, the passaggio, big leaps, long highs, a note you used to miss. On-screen text and one emoji, never a jingle.
- Scoring — a weighted percentage, 80 % unlocks the next level. Detected strain quietly caps the score at 79, so pushing can't pass.
- Glossary that unlocks as you progress; tap any term. Captions never use a word before you've learned it.
- Results per lesson, round by round, with what was seen once and what to work on next.
Twelve tracks, ten levels, all in your range.
- Twelve skill tracks — warm-up glides, pitch accuracy, chord notes, breath and sustain, vowels, agility, short notes and starts, leaps, loud and soft, break and range, mix voice, ring and placement. See the full list →
- Today's plan — a daily lesson picked from your progress. If your voice shows strain, a "free the voice" warm-up comes first.
- Passaggio AI lessons — generated from your own singing: the notes, steps, vowels, bridge crossings and habits you miss most, built inside your range. They appear once a weak area is established over about ten lessons.
- Warm-ups — Free the voice, Mix warm-up and Range warm-up. Each exercise has a classical and a contemporary version chosen for you, names its strain risk plainly, and ends with a 15-second ready check: "Ready to sing", "Nearly: one more gentle round" or "Rest the voice today".
- Breath and release — loosening moves, counted breathing, a steady-hiss ladder, a long soft hold with best times kept, and a placement check.
- Favourites and lessons that start by themselves after the spoken intro.
Sing the songs you actually want to sing.
- Import from the phone — vocals separated on the device, melody tracked, lyrics synced by listening (or from a lyrics file, or by tapping), then sing it over the backing on the lane with a lyrics teleprompter.
- Chords — imported songs show the estimated current and next chord.
- Song ideas — hundreds of songs that suit your voice type, by genre. "Not for me" steers future suggestions away from that artist and similar ones; "Find more" replenishes the list.
A trainer who speaks, then sings it for you.
- Two voices — Ginevra (female) and Rocco (male), Italian-accented, full-band audio, adjustable speed. Matched to your voice by default, changeable in Settings.
- Sung examples — each sound is spoken clearly, then sung as the exercise's first note by a real singer in your key. Lessons with a recorded run play it as a demonstration.
- "Hear the difference" — for flat, sharp, drifting, scooping, late starts, an unsupported belt and more: "Not like this…", then "Like this…", before the advice.
- Welcome and greetings — a first-visit welcome that explains the home menu, then one of ten short welcome-back lines in your trainer's voice.
- Voice commands — "next", "again", "start", "skip", heard on the phone. Read-aloud intros on every page.
Headphones in, phone at arm's length.
- Headphones required whenever guide audio plays, wired or Bluetooth, with an acoustic timing check that measures the delay and saves it per device so the bars line up with what you hear.
- Volume meter on every screen that listens — green, blue in the target middle, red at the top.
- Keep-screen-on, flame effects, spoken encouragement and every trainer option switchable in Settings.
- Optional "Save my singing to improve the trainer" keeps recordings on this phone only.
Velvet and brass, made yours.
- Scenes — each page has its own dimmed animated scene in brass: resonance for warm-ups, a stage spotlight for lessons, a studio mic for voice setup, sound waves for progress, reel-to-reel for songs, a mixing desk for Settings. Home stays black with the logo drawn live.
- Appearance — 8 colour schemes, 8 font styles, 7 button looks, 15 UHD backdrops and lesson layout choices (dial and play button position, where the combo count sits). The logo recolours to match your scheme.
- Fifteen sung-line skins — Synthwave, Jazz club, Light blade, Blowtorch, Ocean, Inferno, Lightning, Disco fever, Art deco, Crystal, Galaxy, Aurora and more, unlocking over your first 20 lessons with a "Congratulations!" card. Every marker is animated.
- Reduce Motion respected everywhere except the fire, which stays on by request.
