A voice is always becoming
Find your voice.
Passaggio is a singing teacher that lives on your Android phone. It listens while you sing, shows you what to fix while you're still on the note, and builds lessons around your own voice and your own habits.
A lesson that stops to fix you.
Sing guided by note bars. When a bad habit creeps in, the lesson pauses and a card tells you exactly what to change in your body. Between lessons, Passaggio works out what you keep missing and builds the next lesson around it.
Open the back of your mouth, like the start of a yawn
That phrase was squeezed. Drop your jaw, let the inside of your mouth go tall and relaxed, and keep the breath moving from your lower ribs. Don't force the yawn — a gentle lift is enough.
- E4 keeps landing flat — 9 of the last 12 times Weak note
- G4 → C5 — the leap is undershot on the way up Weak jump
- "ee" pulls you off above F4 — other vowels hold Vowel
- Sliding up into notes — a scoop on most onsets Habit
Better singing starts with better understanding.
Most apps only check whether you hit the note. Passaggio listens to how you make the sound — your breath, whether you're squeezing, singing through your nose, straining, or switching between chest and head voice — and compares it with your own voice, not with everyone else's.
Hear what your voice is doing
A line follows your voice through the note bars as you sing, a glow shows whether you're in chest or head voice, and one plain word tells you how you sound right now: clear, airy, tight, nasal.
Corrections that name the fix
When the same mistake keeps happening, a card appears with the physical change to make — "Open the back of your mouth, like the start of a yawn" — and the trainer plays you the wrong way, then the right way.
Lessons built from your singing
Twelve step-by-step courses, warm-ups that check you're ready, and personal lessons built from the notes, jumps and vowels you miss most often.
Everything a lesson needs, on one phone.
Your voice, measured first
A short setup finds how high and low you can sing, your voice type, and where your voice changes gear, and records your own vowels, so everything after is judged against you.
Voice setup and voice map →A trainer who sings
Ginevra or Rocco explains each exercise, then a real singer sings you the starting note in your key. Warm, Italian-accented, never robotic.
Meet the trainer →Combos and flames
Hit the notes in a row and your streak grows. Six in a row and the bars catch fire, with a quiet word from the trainer at ten, twenty, thirty.
While you sing →Sing your own songs
Pick a song from your phone. Passaggio strips out the original singer, works out the melody and lines up the lyrics, then you sing it over the backing track.
Your songs →Six styles, one honest judge
Classical, musical theatre, pop, rock, jazz, folk. A belt or a breathy tone is only called a mistake if it's a mistake in your style.
Tracks and levels →Nothing leaves your phone
No account, no cloud, no internet access at all. Everything is worked out on your phone and every result stays there, locked.
Privacy →Built for singers, on your phone.
Passaggio is an Android app. While it's in development you install it straight from this site rather than the Play Store. This website doesn't listen to you — all the microphone work happens inside the app.
